EM NIGERIA 2013
This project was carried out in 2013, and included the establishment of a vehicle inspection system at the entrance to a hospital complex. There are two access options to the complex:
- An express lane for emergency and rescue vehicles, such as ambulances, police vehicles, and military vehicles. A regular lane for private vehicles, which must all undergo inspection by a vehicle scanner. When necessary, the vehicles are directed to an additional inspection process for which there is a separate lane, so that the additional inspection of the vehicles does not delay the following vehicular traffic.
- Access to the hospital complex is impossible, for vehicles that don’t pass the inspection procedure.
The security systems in this project include:
- Pneumatic bollards with K-4 anti-ram resistance
- Scanner for inspection of vehicles, manufactured by the STI company
- Adjustable awning for vehicle inspection area
- Light-duty bar barriers of model MAYA-B
- Traffic lights
- Photoelectric detectors
- Fixed bollards
- Command boards and varied control systems
- Compressors, etc.
The new security system features automatic control that is effective and reliable, and capable of providing an immediate response to any emergency situation.
