FN NIGERIA 2013

This project was carried out in 2013, and included setting up control and security systems at the entrances to and exits from a compound, to provide protection against attempts to gain entry into the compound with booby-trapped vehicles. The project included two access lanes to the compound:

  • A VIP lane to enable fast entry of authorized vehicles
  • A regular inspection lane, where the vehicle is checked by a scanner, and allowed to enter the compound after inspection. During the inspection, the vehicle is enclosed by two rows of pneumatic bollards, at front and back, and by fixed bollards at the sides. Any vehicle that does not receive entry authorization will remain closed in on all sides, with no possibility of escaping in any direction.

The security systems in this project include:

  • Pneumatic bollards with K-4 anti-ram resistance
  • Scanner for inspection of vehicles, manufactured by the STI company
  • Adjustable awning for vehicle inspection area
  • Light-duty bar barriers of model MAYA-B
  • Traffic lights
  • Photoelectric detector
  • Fixed bollards
  • Command boards and varied control systems
  • Compressors, etc.

The new security system features automatic control that is effective and reliable, and capable of providing an immediate response to any emergency situation.
